Phobia.. Vaccine.. :(

The day that I hated most has finally arrived.. It's the day for vaccine. In fact, J was scheduled to have his second jab and Rotavirus dose last Tuesday. But due to mummy's phobia of seeing J suffering the injection & again, mummy's fear that J will behave like the first time when he has the first injection, I postponed the date until today.

We went to the clinic in the evening. There were 4 patients before us. We didn't wait for too long this time, and when it's our turn, I fed J as he wanted to be fed. He was so hungry that in less than 5minutes, he has done with his meal and started smiling with us. :P

Guess what, it's time for injection and J didn't cry!!! Yay!!! That's my boy!! :)
He also didn't cry when taking the Rotavirus dose.. Yay!!! ;)

I was so happy that J didn't cry when taking the injection.. it is so unbelievable.. J is a strong baby!! I am so proud of you J. :)

Milestone

For the past two to three weeks, Jayden has learned many little things (I lost track cuz I didn’t note them down on daily basis):
  • He can hold things with his own fingers with our support by placing the toy/rattle in this hand.
  • He sucks his other fingers and sometimes one after the other.. he used to suck only his index finger even though his hand is clutched.
  • When I tickle his lips with my fingers, he uses his arms and fists to hold and tug my hand into his mouth if he is hungry.
  • He starts to like his new friend Patrick Star. He is very sensitive with motions as he engages his eyes with Patrick every time I move him around. He even gets amused when I make Patrick dance and sing along.
  • Greatest news, he can recognize his mummy and daddy. Whenever he is hungry, he will stare at me. :P He loves to look at daddy and mummy.. Love it!! J
  • He starts playing with his tongue, not just blowing bubbles anymore, though he blows bubbles day in day out.. Hehe.. :P
  • He is still learning to turn around.. he can turn more, yet dunno how to use his hands to push himself up.. Ganbate Jayden!! :)

Now, I am very much looking forward for him to use his hand and fingers to grasp a toy and coordinate the toy so well into his mouth.

Twist n Turn

Today, J worked so hard to twist and turn around.. Several attempts (at different time) and it is nearly successful. Let's put our hands together for his attempts that bring him closer to success.. :)

Dear Jayden,
Mummy is so proud of you!!! Great job!! :)

Here are some pictures taken when he was striving hard to turn around.. Cool pictures.. :)

Looks like he is happy with the pose.. :P

Almost there!!! :)

It's not easy to turn.. a lot of hardwork! Ganbate!!!

Let's try to turn at the rocker.. :P

Feels the same.. like this pose too... :P

Liftin' n Pullin'

This morning, after bathing time, I play with J as usual. I let him choose his own toys - Patrick Star and Rattles.. Well.. he was just staring at the toys and didn't do anything. When he got bored, I put him on the bed to excite him with other games.

I tried to let J hold my fingers with both hands. He WOWed me by holding and pulling my fingers tight, wanting to pull himself up to sitting position. Well, you'll be surprised, with a little force from my end, he managed to pull himself up and sit, though he was still very unstable in sitting. :P

It is really fun to see him wanting so much to sit.. :)

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Mirror mirror on the wall.. Who's the cutest of them all..

I was running out of ideas what to play with J, so this morning, I carried J and let him looked into the mirror... guess what, he SMILED!!! Such a big grin on his face.. Awwwwww... so sweeeet!! :)

I think he likes to look at himself.. I wonder if he knows who's in the mirror, other than someone look familiar (a reflection of me!) to him.

Other than the mirror, I removed his mittens to let him grab on different materials of toys and things, hoping to stimulate his touch senses.. I wonder if that helps.. Hehe. :P

As usual, reading A Story A Day to him.. well, normally I read two stories instead of one.. He always likes the cover of the book and gets really excited when I show him the book. :) I do show him the content of the story that I am reading to him too.. since there are colorful graphics in there.. he seems amazed.. :)
