Perth Trip (Part 2)

On the following days, I would say a visit to the Caversham Wildlife Park was Jayden's most enjoyable trip ever.. He got to sit on his favorite choo-choo train, well not exactly a train but a tram that is good enough to make his day! :P

Jayden: "All Aboard!!!"

Checking out the tracks..

Jayden said the controller is Sir Topham Hatt

Yum yum Ice Cream

Not just that, for the first time ever, he (us too!) got to pat and hug the kangaroos, watch the kangaroos hopping around, hug the wombat, pat the koala, feed animals like Llama, donkeys, rabbits and well, being in a farm to meet those animals he only sees in books!! :P When we were thirsty and tired, we had fish and chips for our lunch and some freezing ice cream despite the cold weather.. yum!! :P

Our buddy lost control.. :P

I forgot what it is.. It has hard scales and soft feet

Lazy wombat!! Hehhe

Feeding Llama and Donkey..

Cute huggable Koalas!! :o)

Other than that, we got to Fremantle, a scenic harbour and market I would say. All I can say is it's such a beautiful place with great food.. We got to try the 'chili mussels', authentic pizza and in house brew beer @The Little Creature, which was highly recommended by Gobie. Yum!! :o)
Enjoying ice cream..

Lovely..

A very happy family.. :o)

Authentic Pizza.. Jayden has stolen all the sundried tomatoes

Chili Mussels - We forgot to take a pix before having, this is the end result.. LOLs

The next thing we did was to visit our migrant friends.. So little did we know that we have so many friends there.. Well, that's with a bit of exaggeration.. Hehehe.. We paid a visit to all friends that Jayden called Uncles.. Uncle Lai & family, Uncle Donald and family, Uncle Aaron and family, and nevertheless Uncle Thomas! :o)

Uncle Lai bakes the best scones! :o)

Jayden's new friend "Baby Daniel" :o)

Last but not least, we had a great time at some vineyards trying out wines and chocolates at the Margaret River Chocolate Factory.. We bought some yummy chocolates there and Jayden had the sweetest time of all! Many many thanks to Uncle Aaron for spending a day bringing us all around these fab places.. Hehehe.. :P

Uncle Aaron's very yummy "Roti Paratha"

Yummy Chocs..

Our little treats.. Hehehe.. :P

On our very last day, Gobie has brought us around exploring the city centre to places we have not touched like the famous Bell Tower and others. After that, we have a cool time chilling out at the Wembley Community Golf Course which is right opposite Gobie's house about 10-15min walk away.. That's the place that I got drunk when Gobie insisted to buy me a glass of red wine which I just finished half.. Imagine.. I dropped on the floor.. It was that bad!! Well, it's one of the most memorable experience in my life..

Jayden @Bell Tower, Perth

Honey and Gobie, our best host ever!!

Me @Bell Tower :o)

Jayden got soaked from top to toes after playing.. :S

A cozy gathering at the golf club.. Saw that wine!? :P

Life is great having great friends all around us.. It's such a blessing.. :o)

Perth Trip (Part 1)

At 6am, we were greeted coldly by the bright cold morning and followed by warm hospitality by our dear friends Gobie and family. They are the best host we have ever experienced in our life, which I am going to cover more slightly.

As expected, we were super exhausted so we practically slept for the whole day! :P It was rather relaxing on Day1, we didn't take any nap as we were eager to catch up with our host.. other than Jayden, he was completely knocked out. Hehehe.. By the time he woke up, it's kinda late so we were lazing around beautiful Wembley neighborhood, exploring their playground and having a brisk chilly walk around Lake Monger, which is right in front of Gobie's house! Gobie prepared home cooked dinner for us and then off we went to bed.. That's the end of Day1.

On Day2, Gobie took a day off to bring us around. The first place that we visited is the Kings Park. We loved the park dearly, we could spend the whole day there relaxing without getting bored. There are so much things to explore and it's a great great place for kids to run around freely. Jayden enjoyed the park most as he was given the freedom to walk and run on the huge open field without having to hold mommy's or daddy's hand!! :P

There were few spots in Kings Park that allow us to see the whole Perth city.. Beautiful views! :o) Once we were done there, we went to explore the city and neighborhood. There was a place we visited that I am not sure which neighborhood it was, but it was so beautiful and windy. I love that place so much because the houses there were overlooking a river. A lot of colorful birds chirping around, and Jayden even met a bird friend!! Haha.. Well, we were so suddenly so tired and sleepy that we (SL and I) almost fell asleep whenever we sit down , be in under the bridge or under the tree.. :P

Perth Trip (Flight Experience)

Our trip to Perth was an amazing one! I will cover more about our trips in the next post.. I'm gonna share about our flights experience here.. :o)

Flights (Depart)
It was quite a tough one while we were going, not because of Jayden! He had been a very good boy because he insisted to sleep throughout the journey. However, it was the cheap budget airline that made the whole trip so uncomfortable to us.. It was a late night flight, we boarded at 11.50pm, thinking that it would serve us right as we can sleep throughout the journey.

However, it's never the same with budget airlines cuz what they emphasize on is their sales! So, throughout the nite, instead of switching off lights for customers to sleep, they kept the light as bright as the sun, made nonstop announcement about the sales and promotions, did their best to keep all the passengers awake!! It was really tough for all the 3 of us.. It's the worst flight experience ever!! :o(

Flights (Return)
This time, our flight is in the AM! This flight is a much better experience for us. Reason being that we have had enough sleep through the nite. We woke up at 5am plus, and only boarded at around 8am. The journey home was a much easier one even though Jayden refused to sleep throughout the journey. We kept him occupied with his new Thomas and Friends toys - metal diecast magnetic engines!!! Hehehe.. So he was choo-choo-ing over the seats, below the seats, on the floor, etc!!

Overall, I was feeling surprised and glad that the flights experience with a young toddler on board were considered smooth.. other than the lousy experience with AirAsia.. :P
