Potty Train - 4th Day (Part 2)

In continuation to the earlier blog this afternoon, here is the report of the second half of the day. :P

Jayden did it again!!! I am so happy..

Other than he wee wee during his nap time, he stayed dry for the whole day till now (we're going to bed soon)! Since he napped in the cradle, the floor was wet when he was taking a nap. All I did was just to mop the floor clean and dry during his sleep. :o)

After he woke up from his nap, he accidentally wee a slight bit while feeding him milk as he has forgotten that he was diaperless.. Once he found that out, he held his bladder immediately, continued drinking milk until he was done, sat on the potty and continued pee-ing. :P

Throughout the day, he has been diligently using his potty for all his needs.. including the last but not least.. poo poo time!!! I was a little concern earlier on as he had not done his "big biz" till evening.. I thought he didn't wanna do it on the potty..

Thank God I was wrong.. Just now, he took the potty and sat on it.. Then he said to me "poo poo". Phew... Finally!!! I was darn happy!!

In the end, he did it so well.. and a lot too!! When he was done, he said "daah" (which means done) and stood up, took a look at his stuffs and said "yay" followed by "yuck... lak lak" (lak-lak means dirty/spicy/bad stuff/something he doesn't like) I do not know where he got the word and idea from but that's his definition and.. it's his word! :P

I think the potty training is so far so good.. It's soooo much much much much better than my expectation though.. I am a happy and proud Mommy!! Hehehe.. :P

Potty Train - 4th Day (First Diaper-less Outing!!)

Since yesterday's achievement of doing his potty successfully, Jayden seems to gain more confidence in his potty job.

This morning, Jayden came to me and whispered "p.. p" which I thought he was being cheeky and wanna play with me.. Then, he continued to whisper "p.. p.." and a sudden message came to my mind that he might be saying "Pee Pee"!! Immediately I replied "Oh! Pee Pee! Pee Pee in the potty!" Then, Jayden quickly ran and grabbed the potty, let me pull his pants down, sat on the potty and.. PEE!! Yay!! :o) This is the second success - a continuation from yesterday evening..

After that, I received a call from a customer ordering some stocks. Since it was still early before Jayden's nap time, I decided to deliver the stocks to her. I was planning to have Jayden on his diaper as I thought that he might not be able to do it outdoor.

However, Jayden was so confident that he didn't wanna wear diaper during out outing just now.. It was quite a few hours outing.. And guess what, he did it!! He kept saying 'pee pee' when he needed to do it and yes, he did it in the public toilet!! Yay!!! :o)

Jayden, Mommy is sooooo impressed and soooo proud of you! Great job well done J!! :o)

Potty Train - 3rd Day

Today is the 3rd day I put JJ on pants without diapers. I have been trying to leave Jayden without diaper whenever possible (when we are at home and he is awake). For the previous two days, there have been accidental wee wee, on the pants on on the floor. I admit that he is smart enough to 'wee' on the floor instead of rug, bed, couch or whatever furniture! Thank God!! :o)

Today is the most surprising day out of these 3 days!! Just now, Jayden took out the potty.. Sat on it.. And then stood up, bent slightly.. And WEE!!! Then he said: Yay!!! After that, he sat on it again.. stood up.. bent slightly again.. and POO!!!! Wow.. Thank God the treasure all gone into the potty... :o)

Jayden, Mommy is soooo proud of you!!! :o)

Winter Solstice Season

Happy Winter Solstice!!!

We sort of celebrated the Winter Solstice Day yesterday. It is a Chinese culture of have some yummy "tong yuen" (glutinuous balls) with the family on the day.

Nevertheless, we had our 'tong yuen' back in in-laws' yesterday. MIL cooked some colorful plain tong yuen. I gave some to JJ but after having his first bite of 'tong yuen', he was running around trying to escape me for the second one. Oh I forgot to mention that when he was having his first bite, he gave a shiver!!! Muahaha.. I guess he really didn't like it.. LOLs..

Hubby wasn't a real fan for tong yuen at all. So he didn't have much. I love tong yuen but never the plain one in sweet dessert. All in all, we didn't have much.

Guess what? Hubby never liked tong yuen in his whole life till I introduced to him the tong yuen with fillings inside. Upon having his first bite on it, he changed his perception about tong yuen and fell head over heels with it! :o)

Today, I am making red bean paste with black sesame tong yuen (it's tong yuen with black sesame filling). This is my all time favorite tong yuen!! So I am gonna have a feast on these little lovelies.. Hehehe

Jayden had his first bite on the black sesame tong yuen just now and he loved it!! He kept running around trying to escape for the plain tong yuen, but he kept saying "more ball ball" for the black sesame tong yuen. This little baby has gotten good taste ain't he?!! :P

Table Dance

Early this morning, about an hour after Jayden woke up in the morning, he insisted me to turn on his favorite Baby Noah DVD.. As a person who does not encourage too much movie time for young toddler, I ended up giving in after his persistent attempts.

Half way through the show, Jayden started clearing half of the table for some reasons. Then, he climbed on top of the table which was highly discouraged by me again, but this time I would like to see what he has in mind. So I asked him why he wanna climb onto the table as it was pretty dangerous to do so.

Then, the music was played (I think he can memorize the whole show) and he started dancing each time the music came by (there will be music everytime a new animal is being introduced). Without a camera in hand, I quickly grab my phone and here are some low quality shots of Jayden's table dance.. :o)

Copy Cat

Earlier in the morning today, while we were watching Baby Einstein show, upon seeing the Mommy Kangaroo licking the Baby Kangaroo's face, Jayden gently leaned forward to me, showed me his tongue and started licking my face!!! Yucks!!! >.<"

It is soooo funny!!!! But really yucky!!! Yicks!!!

Puzzles Fun

Mommy falls in love with this puzzle at the first sight.. Without giving it a second thought, I bought this set of words puzzle for who else but my little son. :o)

It was quite disappointing when I gave this little present to him during his birthday because he didn't even wanna look at it.. Yea, I lost it to the forklifts and truck set gift from his fav GuGu (Aunty)..

But disappointment didn't last long! Soon enough, this puzzle set has taken precede and become his favorite after a few days time.. :o)

Now, you will find him spending most of his time with the puzzle set throughout the day.. Yup, he never gets bored of it which is soooo COOL!! Hehehe.. :o)

And guess what, even while I am blogging now, he is enjoying his puzzle time.. Hehehe.. :P

Playground Fun

Some recent pictures of the 2year old big boy having fun at the playground.. Playing can never be more fun than having neighboring kids around.. :o)

Uh oh.. Climbing the high wall..

Smiling throughout the play

Pool Fun @ Home

About few weeks ago, Mommy managed to find a 4ft round pool for Jayden. Jayden's first time playing in the pool was exhilarating and crazy! He went spinning, sleeping, rolling and splashing in the pool (of cuz the water was super shallow) with hell a lot of shouts and noises.. However, Mommy didn't get to take any pictures.. Forgetful Mommy! :o(

This is the second time we are playing in the pool, to be exact Jayden was in and Mommy was out of the pool playing with him.. For some reasons, Jayden wasn't as excited as the first time.. Perhaps due to a lot of kids noises from the playground that made him envious and wanted to go to the playground instead of playing in the pool..

Anyway, Mommy took some pictures this time.. :o)

Big boy in the pool!! :o)

JJ plans to choose his own Boxing Day!

Give me a 5!!! :o)

Being Creative and Imaginative

Jayden is showing a different game plan since he turns 2. Playing with his favorite toys forklifts and trucks is never be the same again.. He started lifting big and small things with his forklifts (yea, it is super forklifts) from things as big as a bolster and as small as a toothpick! :o)

He is able to categorize things of different colors together.. For example, when I ask him where is his red forklift, he will first find his red forklift and after that, he will search for other red stuffs that he has and says "more red".. and so on with other color such as blue, yellow and so on..

We received some Montessori toys for Jayden's birthday present and he seems to be playing them well too.. He is imaginative enough to connect the railways, running the train on the track, stack up the bricks (which I dunno why they are there for!), lifting the bricks up with his forklift, and let his trucks running over the bricks too!! Lately he also plays forklift fights with Daddy.. That's a rough boy play! Hehehe

He has also identified the North-South pole of the magnet.. Of course he hasn't understood the different terms of North and South, but he has definitely gotten the idea that one side will attach and the other expel. :o)

Experimenting the magnetic fields :o)

Goatmilk

Today I start to introduce a little bit of goatmilk to Jayden... Result is.. He took a sip, then a second sip, then 'blehhh' he refused to drink at all!! Yea, we should all know by now that the result is negative..

Then, Mommy tried to take a sip.. second sip.. then something was crumbling in my tummy.. It feels like it is bloating up and getting ready to throw up!! Yucks!! I just hate the smell of goat.. Guess JJ inherited that from Mommy.. Sigh...

Will try again perhaps a week or two later..

Hand Stand

Last night around 1.30am, I was having a dream in my sleep. I am not sure if it's a dream of I was actually half sober. Anyway, let's put it this way.. a thought suddenly came to my mind when I was sleeping.. "Where is Jayden now.. Is he sleeping in the right position? Will be fall down from bed?" Just before my thought wandered further, I was waken up by Jayden's cries..

I bounced out from the bed and spotted Jayden's location immediate. The moment I saw his position, my feeling spontaneously switched from worry to funny.. Jayden was in a 'hand-stand' position!! One of his hand was touching the floor pushing himself up while the rest of his body leaning against the side of the bed.

After I carried him out of the danger, lying on the bed, I still couldn't help laughing silently.. :P

Dairy Products

Since Jayden turns 2, I have been introducing some mild dairy products to Jayden. Nonetheless, most of the food that I introduce to him lately are of those he had been having before but showing allergy reactions.

However, this time around, the allergy reactions seem to be much milder than previously. The food that I tried feeding him including food with traces of milk, soy, egg and nuts such as rice crackers, and food that has milk as part of the ingredients such as yogurt, Rocky biscuit sticks, white bread, cultured drink, milk chocolate, chocolate spread and cheese slices.

So far these are the food that are at the acceptable level for him. I will try to progressively introduce a wider range of food to him.. Hopefully by 3 he will be able to be 100% immune to dairy products. :o)

As for egg, I have not officially tested it on him. But during our few dine out lately, Jayden seems to be reacting to some of the food that we are eating (mainly at the hawker stalls that are frying noodles with eggs). I seriously think that's the reaction to the egg as they don't use any cow milk produce there. Maybe I will try to let him has traces of eggs again in about 3-6months time and observe his reactions..

Meanwhile, I have not been working on soy and nuts products. Guess I will try on soy products in probably about 3 months time, and nuts should be on a later stage as the paediatrician does not really encourage me to introduce nuts to Jayden till he is 5, possibly.

And the good news is.. our fridge is for the first time being stored with plenty of cow milk produces.. which plenty of them have been longing for by.. who else but Mimi.. :P

A sense of Complete

While Jayden and Hubby were sleeping like a log last night, I couldn't fall asleep!! :o(

I turned to my left I saw my most beloved man, I turned to my right I saw my most beloved little man.. A sense of gratitude swept across me.. Bliss..

Suddenly I feel how complete and wonderful my life is.. I am so blessed to be able to wake up and sleep with two greatest man being with me..

God has definitely been very loving and gracious to me.. :o)
