Drive for Independence

Since last month, JJ has shown an increasingly apparent drive for independence. By now, it became so obvious that he wants to hold a cup/water bottle by himself whenever he drinks water, though insisting most of the time. It happens to meal time too that he wanna hold the spoon and feed himself. :P

Not just that, he is also smart enough to hold out his hand and foot (one after another) while being dressed. So far, he has been really cooperative on dressing up, but lately he will occasionally insists to wear the clothes that he chooses!! What a 15months is thinking... really!!?? :P

I guess in a very soon future, he will insist to dress up by himself. Hehehe.. :P

Telecommunication Genius

At a different time frame, Jayden has miraculously performed two extraordinary 'incident' which really gave us both a shock.

First, JJ set Daddy's phone ringtone to his voice! Yes, JJ's voice which was recorded sometime back with Daddy's phone.

Seccond, JJ has recently took a picture of himself with Mommy's phone and MMS it to Daddy's number!!!

Until now, we are still shocked and couldn't believe if it is just an accident or.. he really knows stuff! Hahaha.. :P

Yet to Sing Along :)

Guess I am just gonna until JJ starts to speak..

JJ has been showing interest to sing along every now and then. He tries to imitate my lips whenver I speak or sing to him. However, no sounds came out from his mouth during the trial. But I believe the day should be soon arriving. :)

For the time being, I enjoy singing to him because he gives me responds! Whenever I sing his favorite songs, he will dance along with gestures. The songs that he normally participating in are "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "Mr Sun", "SAL Good Morning Song", "SAL Goodbye Song", etc.

It's really funny to see him performing during our sing along session, especially for Twinkle Twinkle - he will open up his palm and make a fist (instead of a beak shape). Hehe.. As for the Itsy Bitsy Spider sing, he will:
  • put his fingers from both hands together - "the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout"
  • lift up both his hands in the air - "down came the rain.."
  • stretch his arms - "washed the spider out"

It is really an fun-filled experience and enjoy each moment very very much. :o)

15 Months Vocabs

At 15months, Jayden has finally started his words. He understands a lot of words, including sentences that I said, but he still need more time for him to master some words. The current words that he can say clearly is:

mum-mum = food
mama = mommy
ng moi = don't want in cantonese
no no no = no
papa / baba = daddy

This is by far I can recall now.. Will add back if there is any that I missed. :P

Treasure Hunt to Cherating

On March 13, Daddy Mommy and JJ went for a Charity Treasure Hunt to Cherating. Daddy booked this much earlier, like a few months in advance and finally the time has arrived, and we have done it. :P

Well, the day started early in the morning at 5am. We woke up early due to Daddy's seriousness in hunting, despite the fact we were the few earliest and the briefing didn't start till 730am. I feel terribly bad, not for myself but JJ because he would easily have another hour of sleep. :( As usual, JJ is a light sleeper so he will wake up the moment he heard car noises when I carry him. Sigh..

There were 4 of us in a team, namely Uncle Ronnie, Daddy, Mommy and JJ. JJ is the youngest of all hunters in the whole competition! Each of us has a role: Uncle Ronnie is the navigator, Daddy as the driver, JJ as the entertainer, and Mommy as the BBsitter! :P

Throughout the journey, Uncle Ronnie and DD are the main brainer while Mommy is a parttime hunter. It was a freaking super exhausting 9hours hunt. We reached Cherating (Suria Hotel) @around 5pm. Boy, we were worn out, and again, it is too exhausting for my lil baby. I really regret having JJ undergone such a dreadful activity.

Anyway, there is nothing to shout about @Cherating. Everything was budget, from hotel to the food provided. No, I will never ever visit that hotel again!!! Guess it's due to tight budget as most of the fund was donated to the Autism Foundation.

Well.. there is always the first time.. and all of us being virgin hunters, I think we all brought home some fond memories. :P

Pointing & Learning

For the passed one month, Jayden has a nw habit of pointing to everything and everywhere that caught his eyes. I am amazed how he expresses what he sees and what he wants to tell me. He is particularly in love with cars, animals, wheels, and even toys that are of all the categories.

I have been started educating him on our facial parts and I am glad that Jayden can already identify eye, nose, mouth and sometimes ear. He will also reach out his hands and look at them if they are dirty when I said 'wash hand'. :)

Another thing that I am happy about is whenever he wants to go out for a walk, he will take one of his shoes from the shoe cabinet and give it to me. If I agree, I will sit on the floor and ask him to get the other one too. He will grab the other one, bring it to me and then sit on the floor so I can have them put on. :o)

After the walk when we entered the house, he will sit on the floor so I can have the shoes removed. Then, he will take the shoes and put them back onto the shoes cabinet. Ahh.. how nice!! :o)

School Trip

Friday March 19, was the last day of school!! Hooray!! SAL ended the school term with a school trip to FRIM, the reserved forest somewhere in Kepong.

It was Jayden's first trip back to the nature. However, I think the trip was rather intensive that it totally drained the parents (perhaps just us!!) out. Overall, Jayden didn't really enjoy it as much. Now I am assuming that such a trip is not really that suitable for young toddlers like Jayden.. But for the juniors, it was indeed a blast!!

When we reached FRIM, Jayden started to have reddish eyes and runny nose. I was rather worried it is the allergy to pollen! Fingers crossed it is not. I can't see Jayden has anymore new allergies. :(

When we were at the forest, Jayden had some mosquitoes bites but Mommy had more!! Well, I would rather I suffer than having Jayden to go thru all that. Hence mosquitoes bit Mommy is indeed a blessing in disguise!! :S

When it was time to get wet. I got Jayden in his swimsuit but the moment he stepped his feet in the water he started crying. It was icy cold!!!! Jayden refused to dip his toes into the water at all times though we tried very hard to pursuade him to enjoy, well, we failed! In the end, just before we left the water, Daddy forcibly wet Jayden's bottom. That made him cried so hard! :o(

Guess it was a bad idea to have Jayden wet because when we got home, we found that Jayden caught a cold. Now, he is suffering from runny nose and slight cough. Poor lil baby.. :o(

Navigating Tricycle

Today is the first time JJ navigates his tricycle when I pushed him around in the evening. I have been pushing JJ around in his tricycle in the evening on daily basis, and everytime I guide him to make a turn, I will say turn left, turn right, go straight, etc.

To my surprise, JJ navigates his "bike" without me giving him directions today. He takes charge of where he wants his "bike" to head on. When the bike goes a bit off left, he will slightly turn the bike to the right and vice versa. It's indeed a surprise!! I am sure JJ has moved ahead to a new stage of milestone! :o)

Ilaika's Birthday

We attended Ilaika's birthday on March 6, it's a Saturday, right before Adlina's birthday party. The party took place at her grandparents's house at Changkat Tunku, Bukit Tunku. Mommy Izreen made so much effort to organize such a wonderful party for Ilaika. Everything to the details was selfmade by Mommy Izreen, from cake to invitation card to all the house decor! I really thought they hired an event organizer to do up the party but I was wrong!!! Really respect!!!! :o)

All the students from junior class are invited.. Jayden is the only student from toddler class.. From Left: Zain, Emily, Jayden.. :)

I really like some solo pix of Jayden.. think they are beautilfully taken.. hence I wanna share them with you here.. :o)
Cute! :)
Cool! :)

Love this pix too.. despite my boobs were thrown out, I tried to cover up by pasting some words! Muahaha!! :P

The Birthday Girl: Ilaika!!! :)

All the kids were amazed with the magic show by the magician! I can't believe Jayden was one of them! :P

Adlina's Birthday

We attended Adlina's 2nd birthday party on March 7, Sunday, though Adlina's birthdate falls on March 1 instead. The party took place at Jungle Gym, Bangsar Shopping Complex. It is definitely a heaven playground loved by all kids!! Oh, by the way, Adlina is Jayden's classmate. :o)

Jump Attempts

OMG!! It's been more than a month I didn't note down anything here!! Boy I have been so busy and lazy lately.. Hahaha

On last Wednesday in school, Jayden made his first jump! He went up the trampoline and started jumping! Wootz Wootz!! Even though he barely can jump with his feet off ground, he attempted many time and I think a real jump is coming thru pretty soon! :o)

Well done my lil sweetheart!! :o)
