The Chipmunk

Meet Jayden's new toy - The Chipmunk!!!!

The moment I show J the Chipmunk that day, a big smile shown on J's face. I knew he would love it!! Hahah..

Worrying if J can hold/carry the big Chipmunk (compared to the Giraffe), it weighs a bit though, J amazes me by holding the Chipmunk up and down. J tightly grips Chipmunk's hair (poor Chipmunk) and sways it left and right, up and down. Poor Little Chipmunk..

And worst, a small chunk of Chipmunk's hair was found in H's hand.. now you can imagine how strong he is that he tore Chipmunks hair out!! My God!!!

I regret I didn't take a pix of the chunk of hair before disposing it.. What a careless mistake I have done.. Then I will have proof to show J when he grows up.. :P

Oh, I nearly forgot, he even grabs Chipmunk's ribbon till it falls out.. Well, I didn't get to take that picture though..

Tricks

Yesterday night, I found out that J is playing tricks on me.

When I was feeding him last night, he cried so hard and nonstop. When I stop but play with him, he smiled and showed me a happy look. Hmmm.. he is contented. That's when I decided to put him on my bed to let him coo coo by himself.. I guess you know it, he cried the moment I put him down. Sigh..

It's been on going for about 30 minutes when finally, one lucky shot, I put him down, yes, he cried but in less than 30seconds, he stopped crying as he was distracted by the curtains movement (blown by the wind). So he started saying 'ang gurrrr' to himself again. It lasted for about a good 10minutes when the moment he turned his head and saw me.. his mouth changed shape!!!! He made a thinning lips with frowning eyebrow.. starting to cry.. Ishhhhh... I should have moved away from his sight!

From this experience, I know for sure that J is bullying me. ::(

For the whole night, J has been waking up frequently for milk. I seriously do not think he was hungry because he didn't drink as much as normal times. Most likely he is awaken by the itchiness of his rashes.. So pitiful.. Well.. I am pitiful too.. :(

Mittens

Since the day before yesterday, J's mitten always fell off his hands.. It's like almost every few minutes, I need to check on his mittens. And sometimes, in less than a minute, it's removed from his hand! Perhaps they were just too loose, since those were newly bought. That's what I thought initially.

However, the secret is revealed today! :) I have figured out why the mittens fall off easily. It's Jayden!!! He has already learned how to take off his mitten by himself! I am so happy to see his new skills, despite it is quite worrysome when the mitten is away as he always scrathes himself.

After taking his bath and "breakfast", it comes to his napping time. When he was asleep, I cut and file his fingernails. Well, his nails are still very sharp even after filing them. :( Thus, every now and then, I keep an eye on his hands, to make sure that he didn't scratch himself.

Yet, it is a very fun and interesting experience to figure out his new learnings. :)

Aili's Home

This afternoon, we went to AiLi's new place in Taman Desa.. It is a cozy little condo she shared with her other half. Hehe.. Other than finishing her lovely and tasty Hershey's choc chunks cookies, she served us ice tea. It's a cozy lovely tea break. LOL!

While we were contributing ideas for Vincent's presentation, I was also busy with J. Other than carrying him around, I arranged some cushions for him to sit with support.. Here are some shots of him taken with my low resolution handphone which I feel like posting a few of them here.. Hehe.. :)

Fussy J.. ::(

Yesterday we went to bed earlier than normal time.. and perhaps it's due to that, J was behaving a bit odd. Immediately after I switched off the lights, J was crying for milk. I think he knows it's sleeping time so he wanna make sure he is full first before going to bed. However, it wasn't a pleasant experience after that. He woke up every hour for milk, a fussy one!

Thank's to hubby for waking up and comforting him (practically hold him and sleep together). His last feeding was at around 12.30am and his next feeding was at 5.11am!! Wow.. that's an amazing 4hour plus!! I was so grateful that I had a long sleep!!! :P

After that, his feeding was at 8.30am. Well, not as long as earlier but hey, this is so much better than 2hourly feeds. :P I think his pattern is resuming back to normal again. Thank God!!! :)

As usual, this morning J has been incredibly fussy. For some reason, he will be very fussy once a day, normally is between 10am-2pm. But I think he is not feeling well, that's why he is behaving like that.. but hey, once a day.. hmmm.. Anyway.. I was very disappointed at times because MIL likes to apply talc on his neck after bathing, though we had told her numerous times not to because J's next is terribly hurt. So, I have to clean it again before applying salve on it.

The pawpaw salve that Penny gave us worked wonders the first time I applied it on J's neck, however, it doesn't seem to show any miracle lately. I wonder why. :( Anyway, mom suggested me to apply Ginseng powder, so I think there's no harm trying it. Let's see how it goes.

Side Sleeping

Lately, J has been liking a new sleeping position - Side Sleeping Pose!! :)

Even though I don't quite encourage J to sleep on the side, well.. if he feels comfy and he doesnt make much noises like he would normally do, why not? Haha. :P

Taken a picture of his new sleeping pose... :)

Giraffe & Drumstick

These two weeks, J practically stucks everything he grabs into his mouth.

Sometimes, I am not sure if he is hungry ot just for the fun on eating and suckling his toys.. Was it just toys? No.. it's everything he grabs!!! :P

Here are some clips of him falling in love with his new toy Giraffe, and his everlasting love Drumsticks!! Hehe.. :P

Tummy Time & Hilarious Sit-Fall

I have taken some short clips again today.. and due to the fact that I found one of the clip pretty hilarious, I can't help but to post it here.

J, mummy knows you're gonna hate mummy for doing this later.. But well.. it's funny.. :P

Kickin'

His arms and legs are so much stronger right now. Whenever I lift him up, he will start kicking his legs. :) The bad news is, sometimes he kicks me too!!! Ouch!!! :P

Well, since the day J turned 3 months, we have been encouraging him to pull himself up to sitting position. Lately, he stunned us by lifting himself up to sitting position, and then using his legs muscles, kicking himself up to stand! My godness.. at first I was so worried that he might strain his muscles since his legs are still tiny (to me).

As time goes by, I began to learn that J should know better than anyone else when to start learning new things and when to stop when he is tired. :)

Applause for J!! :)

Push Up & Hold Book

I was exhausted when I was waken up by J wanting to be fed. However, the moment I slightly opened my eyes I saw J was trying to roll to one side - his intention is to 'fatt meng jang' instead of turning. :P

To my surprise, he managed to turn himself upside down and best, he used his arms to push himself up. I was so excited by what he did and tot I would love to take a picture/video of him doing this new thing that he learned.

However, when I hold my phone camera, he refused to show me and just put his head down on the bed like what he normally did. There, I missed to capture the moment of his first success early in the morning. Sigh..

In fact, he managed to push himself up a little yesterday, but just for a short while. As usual, the moment I grabbed my phone camera, he refused to show off. :P Well, I still captured a little bit of him trying to push himself a little bit, so little that I was like.. 'you must be trying to fool me'. :P And then, he chose to lick the bed instead of pushing himself up.. Guess he was tired. Hehe..

So, later today, which happened at around 8pm something, I was reading him 2 short stories from the book "A Story A Day". Both of us were lying on the bed while I showed him the pictures and words in the book while I read.

When I am done, I was showing him the book that we read just a moment ago. He again surprised me by using both of his hands to hold the book! Yes!! He held the book!!!! I tried to let go of the book to let him carry it but yeah, as expected, the book is too heavy for him. Hehe.. :P Then, I took the book and tried to show him again.. and one more time, both of his hands reached and held the sides of the book! Yes! He did it again!!! :))

I am so happy to see his many learnings today..

However, it seems like he wasn't feeling too well today as he cried a lot. Well, I think it's due to the fever. The fever has pretty much subsided however he is still not feeling very well I guess. Well, this round of vaccination, I did not feed him with paracetamol medicine (I wonder if that's how it spells). Guess what, I fed him with only ginseng powder, since yesterday. Hehe.. And.. well, showing good result. :)

Just now when I was feeding him, he was crying hard (I think he is in pain.. must be the wind!!!). I tried so many rounds to feed him but he continuously struggled. In the end, I tried something.. fed him with ginseng powder!! Haha.. He loved it and he smiled!!! Of course it then followed by breastfeeding.. he cried again.. Sigh..

FInally, after struggling for quite a while, he is fast asleep. :)

Such a tiring day...

Fever vs Play

J is having a little bit of fever today as a result of the vaccine that he took yesterday. I fed him with mom's formula - Ginseng powder - and lots of breastmilk! Well, it is actually based on demand.. Hehe.. :P

Today I fed J with Ginseng powder for 2 times, and it seems like the fever has pretty much subsided.. Let's see what happens tomorrow.. :)

Well, even though J is having fever, he is still as playful as before.. occasionally.. Hehe.. In fact, it is me trying to give him a little bit of tummy time.. because.. He did a great job by pushing himself up and holding his head still, for a while..

However, when I grabbed my phone camera, he stopped showing off. Sigh.. Well, at least I captured a fraction of what he can do.. This is what he can do.. Push up a very little bit and lick the bed after that.. Hahaha.. I think he is too tired from the push up he did a moment ago before this clip. :P

Phobia.. Vaccine.. :(

The day that I hated most has finally arrived.. It's the day for vaccine. In fact, J was scheduled to have his second jab and Rotavirus dose last Tuesday. But due to mummy's phobia of seeing J suffering the injection & again, mummy's fear that J will behave like the first time when he has the first injection, I postponed the date until today.

We went to the clinic in the evening. There were 4 patients before us. We didn't wait for too long this time, and when it's our turn, I fed J as he wanted to be fed. He was so hungry that in less than 5minutes, he has done with his meal and started smiling with us. :P

Guess what, it's time for injection and J didn't cry!!! Yay!!! That's my boy!! :)
He also didn't cry when taking the Rotavirus dose.. Yay!!! ;)

I was so happy that J didn't cry when taking the injection.. it is so unbelievable.. J is a strong baby!! I am so proud of you J. :)

Milestone

For the past two to three weeks, Jayden has learned many little things (I lost track cuz I didn’t note them down on daily basis):
  • He can hold things with his own fingers with our support by placing the toy/rattle in this hand.
  • He sucks his other fingers and sometimes one after the other.. he used to suck only his index finger even though his hand is clutched.
  • When I tickle his lips with my fingers, he uses his arms and fists to hold and tug my hand into his mouth if he is hungry.
  • He starts to like his new friend Patrick Star. He is very sensitive with motions as he engages his eyes with Patrick every time I move him around. He even gets amused when I make Patrick dance and sing along.
  • Greatest news, he can recognize his mummy and daddy. Whenever he is hungry, he will stare at me. :P He loves to look at daddy and mummy.. Love it!! J
  • He starts playing with his tongue, not just blowing bubbles anymore, though he blows bubbles day in day out.. Hehe.. :P
  • He is still learning to turn around.. he can turn more, yet dunno how to use his hands to push himself up.. Ganbate Jayden!! :)

Now, I am very much looking forward for him to use his hand and fingers to grasp a toy and coordinate the toy so well into his mouth.

Twist n Turn

Today, J worked so hard to twist and turn around.. Several attempts (at different time) and it is nearly successful. Let's put our hands together for his attempts that bring him closer to success.. :)

Dear Jayden,
Mummy is so proud of you!!! Great job!! :)

Here are some pictures taken when he was striving hard to turn around.. Cool pictures.. :)

Looks like he is happy with the pose.. :P

Almost there!!! :)

It's not easy to turn.. a lot of hardwork! Ganbate!!!

Let's try to turn at the rocker.. :P

Feels the same.. like this pose too... :P

Liftin' n Pullin'

This morning, after bathing time, I play with J as usual. I let him choose his own toys - Patrick Star and Rattles.. Well.. he was just staring at the toys and didn't do anything. When he got bored, I put him on the bed to excite him with other games.

I tried to let J hold my fingers with both hands. He WOWed me by holding and pulling my fingers tight, wanting to pull himself up to sitting position. Well, you'll be surprised, with a little force from my end, he managed to pull himself up and sit, though he was still very unstable in sitting. :P

It is really fun to see him wanting so much to sit.. :)

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Mirror mirror on the wall.. Who's the cutest of them all..

I was running out of ideas what to play with J, so this morning, I carried J and let him looked into the mirror... guess what, he SMILED!!! Such a big grin on his face.. Awwwwww... so sweeeet!! :)

I think he likes to look at himself.. I wonder if he knows who's in the mirror, other than someone look familiar (a reflection of me!) to him.

Other than the mirror, I removed his mittens to let him grab on different materials of toys and things, hoping to stimulate his touch senses.. I wonder if that helps.. Hehe. :P

As usual, reading A Story A Day to him.. well, normally I read two stories instead of one.. He always likes the cover of the book and gets really excited when I show him the book. :) I do show him the content of the story that I am reading to him too.. since there are colorful graphics in there.. he seems amazed.. :)
