Allergy Test

Recently, I have been massively introducing allergy food to Jayden. Well, a bit at a time, daily..

I started off by introducing to him some products with milk derivatives, or food that has milk/egg as one of the ingredients, other than milk and egg as direct sources. The result was quite pleasing and satisfying.

On the day before yesterday, we went to a Jap buffet and I walled up quite a bit of everything without avoiding any allergy food. This is specifically targetting on mayonaise, little bit of egg (I assume some of them has egg in the rolls), chocolate cheese cake (yum!!), ice creams, etc. Jayden had quite a bit of them too, though I selected-ly randomly picked his food. Jayden did suffer from mild eczema.. But I am glad it was mild!!!

About a week ago, he was OK with soy products. However, if I am not mistaken, he had itchy skin (eczema) when I gave him more soy product yesterday. It was slightly worse than mild.. I am rather worried if it made a come back!! :o(

Put On and Take Off

Today mark the day Jayden insists to put on and take off his pants by himself. I was just thinking of asking him to do it by himself the other day, but was discouraged myself for I thought he might not be so ready to do it as yet. He has been asking me to do it all the time so I was thinking that I will try asking him after Chinese New Year..

Umm well.. Guess he is ready to be more independent now.. :o)

Constructing 3 words sentence

I am very glad that Jayden seems to be communicating better in what seemed like a quick pace to me.. He has also picked up a lot of words like dirty, toll, potty, table, yummy, tiger, hippo, stop, move, Barney, and many many things and his favorite characters' names.

Not just that, Jayden starts to have more expression in words and also begins to construct 2 to 3 words sentence such as:
1. mommy daddy go (means mommy and daddy go)
2. red car go (means the red car is going - normally he regards red car to daddy's car)
3. red... stop!! green.. move!! (or green.. go)
4. mommy, bitbit, hold it (means mommy, hold the forklift)
5. yum... nice (when he eats something he likes, he will say yum followed by nice!)
6. dogdog eat yum (meand doggie eats yummy food)
7.

The list sure goes longer than this but I just need time to recall everything that he has ever said.. And this is worsen by my slow memory lately.. I mean it, for some reason, my memory has gotten worse since last week and I don't know why..

All in all, I am again a happy mommy seeing my little angelic boy is getting more confident in talking now.. It's such a pleasure!! :o)

Little Chef

While I was busy in the kitchen, this was what I saw when I turned my head around...

What happened was.. Jayden took out the blender from the cabinet; the oranges, pears and lemons from the fridge and put them all in the blender getting them ready to be blended and served!!

Err... you may think where was the blender cover.. After searching high and low for it, the cover was in the dish drawer and the small cap in the middle was in the fridge..

Muahahahhaa!!!! I was amused again!!!

Kid Fashionista

While on the way to the bank earlier today, Jayden found my sun glasses and decided to be fashionable. Here comes the new trend kid fashionista... dang dang dang dang....

My beloved cute fashionista..

Muahahahhahahahahaha... I am so amused by his creative way of wearing sunnies..

Dreamy Sleeps

Recently, Jayden has been have plenty of dreams I think.. He always talks in his sleep, sometimes screams, sometimes laughs, sometimes smiles, sometimes cries.. He is sometimes full of emotions and and it is indeed a blessed pleasure to have the opportunity staring at him while he is asleep.. :o)

2-word speech

Jayden's communication is getting more interesting now. I am glad that he finally breaks into the two-words speech.

Other than his favorite 'go where', 'no more', 'one more', 'mou jor', 'li dou', 'ng moi', 'li gor', ' goh gor', etc, he starts saying things like 'red car', 'yellow hat', 'blue fish', 'dad's car', 'mama's home' - means grandma's house - he will also say dad's home, mommy's bag, etc.

Though it is kinda slow compared to other kids his age, but I am very glad of his achievement, and no matter how slow it appears to be, I am still proud of Jayden's every milestone! :o)

Rest & Sleep

Ever since Jayden enters his little two-some, he has been refusing bedtime every night. Even though he still drags me into the bedroom at 9pm most of the time with his puffy eyes bags and dark circle, he just wouldn't stop keeping himself busy until 11pm. Did I mention that even it is with the lights off?? Yup, even with the lights off, he will walk, roll, twist and turn on the bed until he is too tired to not-to-sleep.

Each day, he wakes up at around 8am, plus minus 20minutes. He will then nap at around 1pm, punctual most of the time, until around 3pm. Sometimes his nap time will stretch till 4pm if he has a long and tiring day with too much activities, provided he wakes up before 8am.

After that, he will stretch his time till 10.30pm-11pm before he knocked out completely. Where is my baby who used to sleep at 8pm or latest 9pm?

Swim Lesson 1

Jayden has a new breakthrough today!

At 9.30am this morning, Jayden attended his first swimming lesson. Sure enough, Jayden has gotten a shocked, nevertheless Mommy was shocked too!!!

Imagine I have to practically drown Jayden in the water, even though it was just for a little while.. Ouch!!! And there was like no chance for him to say NO, even though he kept saying NOooooo..

There were about 6 toddlers in the class and about 3 of them were wailing.. Jayden was one of them!! Gulping in a lot of chlorine water, lots of NO NO NO and wailing throughout the session.. :o(

Anyway, the lesson was quite an interesting one. We started with "blowing bubbles", it was an activities with some squeaky toys and we demonstrate to them how to blow bubbles in the water.

Then, we had some songs trying to settle the young toddlers in the water, particularly Mulberry Bush as a start to we can wash their faces and hair. LOLs... It was a nasty experience as the water was considerably cold this morning!

We also have The Wheels on the Bus to let them experience the movements of legs and arms in the water. And worst, we have Ring-a-Rosie where we slightly drown them for them to learn to "blow bubbles". Yicks!

On the other hand, we took turns to let the toddlers swim over to the instructor, it was about 0.5m-1m distant. Yup, face down in the water with lotsa drinking too.. Jayden was choking and coughing after that session! :o(

The easiest would be to have Jayden one-hand holding the bar, the other holding my hand, and asked him to release the hand on the bar and hold my other hand. Then Jayden has to climb up to the side of the pool and then jump into the water on the count of 3!! Apparently he didn't jump in until I stretched my hands around his arms. LOLs..

Hmmm.. I hope he will enjoy his next lesson more.. Hehehe.. :P

Wonderful New Year 2011

Happy New Year!!! Late is better than never.. Haha.. Let me highlight some of the interesting thing we did in the first day of the New Year. In fact, our New Year starts with a fun-filled day!! :o)

On the very first day of New Year 2011, we had a morning swim and splash session with our family friend Ong's family (Danielle, Jin and Maximus). We then proceeded with the best dim-sum in town for lunch after the swimming session in Uptown Damansara. Great Fun, Great Food, Great Peeps!!

In the evening, we had a great dinner @ Chilies with the Ng's (Donald, Adelene & bump) and Khor's family (Vincent, Carol, Ethern & Earnest). Again, Great Fun, Great Food, Great Peeps!!!

It is a day with great activities, great food and great people! What a great start of the year!! :o)

We didn't take pictures but I managed to get some pictures from those who took. Sharing some of them.. :o)

Jayden sharing his toys with Ethern GorGor.. I am surprised!!! Means that he likes him.. Hehehe :o)

Guess what is Jayden pointing at?? He actually told Mommy that he wanted the Fries (belongs to GorGor). Now you know why he is willing to share his toy with GorGor..

Happy Family!! :o)

Chaotic Kitchen!!!

I was extremely busy washing all the overdue rugs and foot towels.. Just when I had a little time to turn my head over and call for Jayden, he did not reply. To kill my curiosity, I stopped everything on hand and took a peep on the little cutie pie..

Alas!!!! I saw the floor was flooded!!! What happened?? And Jayden was looking calm and steady riding his little car round and about in the living room..

OMG.. Jayden has turned my DRY kitchen to a WET kitchen!!! The moment I walked into the dry kitchen, the water was flowing nonstop from the tap while the cabinets, basin and floor were all FLOODED!!! :o(

As usual, I scolded him for what he has done.. He tilted down his face, showed a sad and guilty look, and then walked away when I asked him to. What a PUPPY FACE!!! So cute.. Grrr... :P Then, he came back and showed me his half soaked clothes. Upon undressing him, I gave him a nice pat on the butt telling him how naughty he had been, but he just ran to the bathroom happily.. I am confused!! Hahaha

My little monster must have thought I have not gotten enough works to do so he decided to add up the pile!! :o(

Jayden is Diaperless!!!

Happy New Year!!! Finally, Jayden is diaperless!! It is such a great news to start the New Year. :o)

It seems like Jayden is quite stable in his potty. He has been expressing himself well whenever he needs to go. However, I found out that sometimes he refused to pee even though he has to go but would hold his urine until he can no longer hold it.. It makes me pretty worried and confused..

This morning is the first time he went diaperless without me around.. However, MIL informed me that he held his urine until he couldn't hold it and there was a minor accident that his pants we wet (though not fully wet).

I am not sure as per why he wouldn't wanna bring his potty to MIL but let's hope he will do well even without me around him.. Once he is fully potty trained, I guess it is time for him to go to playschool and learn to be more independent.. :o)
