Dinner @Xenri

After many many months disappearing from Xenri, finally we went back for the yummy Japanese buffet.. Nevertheless, Japanese food has always been Jayden's favorite of all. :o)

We took some pictures at Menara Hap Seng (the building where Xenri is located).. Posting them now.. :o)

Look at the same smiles.. :o)

Being with Mommy is "Sweet" :o)

Being with Daddy is "Cool" :o)

More words..

Lately Jayden has been picking up a lot of words orally.. Finally he has the interest to talk more, instead he does repeat after me many times.. I am pleased that most of the time when I asked him to repeat after me, he does!! (which he would never previously) Hehehe.. :o)

I guess very soon we will be able to have some simple conversation.. Looking forward to those moments.. :o)

Jungle Gym

Am posting some of the long due pix during our outing to Jungle Gym, BSC on November 17, 2010. We had a lot of fun. And you heard it right, it's "we" as in Jayden, Mommy and Daddy. Hehehe.. :P

Aiming.. Aiming... Shoot!!!

Side Angle Shooting.. Jayden was actually shooting the hanging monkey! Hehehe

More Bullets.. More Bullets..!! :P

More Balls.. :o)

This is really quite a challenge.. Look at the Daddy at the other end.. Yup, daddy was chickened out!!! Hahaha.. :P

The slide was really a smooth one.. really fast!!! Look at Mommy's mouth!! Mommy was frightened! LOLs

This is a good shot.. Look at the falling ball on my head.. LOLs.. :P

Jayden was posing to take a pix with Daddy.. Sweet!! :o)

This is the result in the end of our play time.. Muahahaha.. :P

Jayden's 2nd Birthday Cake

This year, Mommy decided to have a Humpty Dumpty cake for Jayden's 2nd birthday. It was a rather last minute decision as HD has become one of Jayden's fav since a few months ago... And Jayden has been calling Elmo as "momo" for a while and I think it's really cute.. So I think some Elmo's cuppies will be a fantastic combination.. Hehehe

Thanks Faith for making such adorable cakes.. The cakes have definitely carved a special memory for us..

Jayden's Happy 2 Shots

Attached are some of the pictures taken during Jayden's Happy 2 Birthday..

Jayden, may you grow up happily to be a happy, healthy and brilliant child!! :o) -Mommy-

The moment we announced food are served, all the younger kids went downstairs with their parents.. while the older kids took chance to drown themselves in the balloon pool.. :P

After singing birthday song and clapping hands, Jayden reached out for the knife getting ready to cut the cake.. His eyes were focusing on the cake actually.. :o)

Dang Dang Dang Dang... Here comes the cake cutting ceremony.. :P

Jayden received a new bike as a present from the Loong's family (Uncle Loong, Aunty Sallie, Tazmine and Thomas). As Aunty Sallie has gone to Singapore for a vacation, Uncle Loong purposely sent the bike over.. Thanks Uncle Loong for being such a thoughtful person.. :o)
(apparently not the other couple in the pix.. :P)

Jayden is 2!!!!

Jayden is 2!! Yay!!! My little baby is officially a toddler now.. Hehehe.. And terrible 2-some is seemingly more prominent now.. Uhh..

We threw a birthday party for Jayden last Sunday, a day earlier as it is a weekend. His official birthday is on 29th of Nov. Anyway, the party was also acting as an unofficial house warming for those who have not been to our new nest, since the party is held at our new premise.

The party was definitely a very interesting and happy occasion. However, it wasn't quite a good experience on the other hand. An overwhelming flow of guests arrived, quite a lot of unexpected arrivals actually. I feel honored that a lot of people are making the effort to come (giving face!) but also feeling rather disappointed because more than 20+ did not RSVP with us their attendance despite my repetitive re-confirmation with them.

Hence it caused quite a mess especially in food supply as some of the people who has RSVP and turned up late didn't get to eat anything!! I wouldn't mind of their (those who din RSVP) coming but I would really prefer and appreciate if they RSVP with us so we can prepare enough food for everyone, instead of wasting too much food like what happened last year.

We ended up having the chef (thank God he was here!!) to cook anything we could find from our fridge. And my eldest sister in law has to drive all the way out to buy some satay and drinks back to serve all the hungry guests.

If only Malaysian friends (sorry for Stereotyping) can be a little more thoughtful and responsible, perhaps understanding.. Anyway, it was quite a disgrace for us.. :o(

Ouch..

JJ successfully put mommy to bed earlier just now.. suddenly mommy woke up in the event of hard crying and found JJ lying on the floor.. JJ slept and fell down the high bed.. Ouch.. Mommy feels guilty for being the first to doze off now.. :o(

Life + Chocolate = Complete

I am too happy and feel soooooo gratitude.. that finally we have our very first bite of milk chocolate!! Wow.. it's been such a long long time...

Jayden and I took our very first bite of dairy milk chocolate yesterday.. And there was no sign of allergy on his mouth!! Yay!! Not sure if there would be any rashes/itch in the evening but at least we survived the first test! So we know we can have some, though not a lot, milk chocolate from now onwards..

In the evening, we went for Japanese buffet for dinner. And naughty Mommy took some ice cream.. Jayden took relatively little, barely two spoon while Mommy finished off a total of about 2 scoops. It was sooo yum and sinful!! :o)

But I found out Jayden had been having minor rashes on his neck early morning today. I think it must be due to the ice cream. But I am still very glad that we can have milk chocolate.. Hehehe.. It's great to find that Jayden is slowly growing out of his allergy, a bit in a time. :o)

1st Cinema Visit

After a long wait, we have our first cinema visit, well it's Jayden's first movie to be exact, and our first cinema visit after 2 years of waiting!!!

The very first show Jayden watched in a cinema was Harry Potter!! :o) Wow!! We have "potter" our life!! Hahaha..

Jayden had been watching attentively for the first hour, sitting without moving and seemed like he was enjoying the show. Guess something has finally spiking his butt that he started asking to leave.

Daddy sacrified his movie time by bringing him out for a brisk walk. I think they came back after 15-20minutes. But this time Jayden was not as peaceful as before, he had been asking to leave every now and then. We tried to trick and pacify him with popcorn, drinks and soft candy to engage him with movie. It lasted a fair while before he asked Daddy for a walk again.

They came back after I don't know how long, but this time is worst. Jayden totally refused to sit so he was standing (not on the chair!) and I tried to drop the bottle and got him to search for it. :P It successfully stole a bit of his time. And finally, I showed him those video clips of him that I recorded on my phone. And it kept him lasted till the show ended! Yay!!!!

Since he didn't shout or make loud noise in the cinema.. I would say our first movie outing is considered a SUCCESSFUL one!! :o)

It's awful and terrible.. What's going on?? :o(

Mommy hang in there!! Thanks Peggy for such encouraging words.. Thank God I read your comment before writing again else I will write something in a really nasty way! Hehe..

I barely can recognize my sweet little Jayden anymore.. Other than his signature laughs and smiles, sometimes hugs and kisses, and some of his 'in-good-mood' times..

For the passed one week, he has turned himself to a total unrecognizable monster!! He would indulge is attention seeking devices such as grabbing my arms, pulling my shirt, attacking my face, hitting me, doing all the forbidden things like turnover the trash basket, pouring drinks on the couch, refusing to take showers, unfolding all the folded clothes, and last but not least, refusing to obey and be a good boy anymore!!! :o(

Not just that, he is also very autonomous and we have to obey by doing everything his way such as no-TV for parents but his favorite movies all the time, we must get dressed and put on our shoes when he decided to go out for whatever reasons (walk, playground, drive, etc).

I feel so awful and terrible sometimes that I think to myself that I really need to discipline this little child. I have been very firmed with him and spanked him a few times (I feel guilty!!!) but I feel he becomes more resistant and monstrous because of this. Maybe he just couldn't accept the fact that I will whack him.. :o(

I have also tried reasoning to him but he just wouldn't give me a second and listen!! His best favorite quotes are "Go-Go", "No", "No-No", "No-No-No"!! Argh... I need help!! How to discipline this child of mine without much scolding, whacking or punishment?

Please return to me my sweet obedient little baby... :o(

T2 Yet???

These few days Jayden has been so mischievous and misbehaved that really got on my nerves.. :o(

He is rather cranky and emotional lately which is definitely a no-good to mommy.. Frustrated me runs out of ideas.. I have tried being strict with him, giving him lots of TLC, scolding him, but all attempts didn't work a single bit.

Plus lately he has been waking up 2-3 times a nite (Why? I don't know!!) and it's pretty exhausting for us too.. Perhaps this is what causing him to be cranky.. emotional and upset especially when I get frustrated and scolded him. Sigh...

Guess mommy is in really bad shape now.. Need to improve my spiritual quotient a lot!!!

Mr NO

Lately Jayden likes to say No... No No No No No.. whether his real answer is yes or no, he still says no..

Mommy was really crossed with him just now.. For some reasons, he kept on doing some mistakes, I know it is hard for him too as he doesn't wish he would have done those.. But the bad temper invaded Mommy as the mistakes come one afer another, even before I got the previous fixed..

Anyway.. after all the incidents, Mommy has finally cooled down and given this little Mr NO a hug and a kiss.. While walking hand in hand, Mommy said "Jayden has been a bad boy today!" and the lil monster said "NO".

Oh dear.. I am speechless.. :S

Mini House Warming with Besties

Last Sunday, we hosted a mini house warming exclusively for my besties (our family friends) namely Leong (Yvonne, Leon & Lucia) and Ong (Danielle, Kovsky, Maximus) families.

It was such a pleasure to be able to spend a fun-filled and enjoyable evening with them, not to mention our kids had so much fun with their playmates.. :o)

All the little ones turned their head towards the TV when a song suddenly broke the silence!! :P

All the little ones' hands were holding something.. :P

JJ was so excited with huge reaction when he saw an incident (I forgot what it is) in the movie.. :P

Our "Dim Dim Dik Dik" :o)

One more month and Jayden will turn 2. As Daddy is not home most of the time, Mommy gets all the chances to see and experience each and every way Jayden picks up everything.. including words.

It is such a blessing that I can be there for him, to experience and witness every 'first' event in his little life.. Tears fill my eyes now as I am typing this.. I must have done something right in my passed life that God is being so nice to me.. I am so touched and grateful that God has granted such a blessing..

At 23 months, my beloved baby (still my baby!) starts to speak more, in the language that Mommy and Daddy can understand.

Jayden shows extensive interest in talking lately, he will initiate (signal) me to sing some nursery rhymes with him (he doesn't sing yet but he shows his dance move which is unique for each song).. otherwise he will say the keywords of the song he wants me to sing..

For example, he will say 'star' when he wants to hear 'twinkle twinkle little star' and 'ow' (cow) when he wants to hear 'old mac donald has a farm' and so on.. And when he heard the word 'cow', he will say 'ow'.. other words are moo, dog, bark, duck, quack, pig, oink and the list goes on.. He still can't quite pronounce quack, oink, neigh and some others that I added in i.e. meow (cat). Hahaha..

Lately he has been good in responding to me with his favorite 'no', 'ng-moi' (don't want in Cantonese) and 'mou' (no in Cantonese).. He would also follow words that I said which may be new to his vocab such as board, chair, table, fan, fork..... He got some of them right away and some still need to work on for sure.. But Mommy is already very proud of this little baby's skills.. :o)
