Sing and Dance

When I step into the living just now, I saw Jayden was standing on top of the coffee table.. dance along with Barney (show).. this is something really new as he normally dances on the floor, but now he found a stage to dance on..

Initially I thought it was pretty dangerous but after a while, I found him looking steady in the middle of the table, I decided to grab the camera.. Shoot!!! Yes, shoot myself!!! Once I have my camera in hand, he has already come down.. :S

I need to make sure I am a little quicker next time.. Dang!!

BitBit

Jayden falls in love with forklift lately. Everytime we go to Daddy's office, he will be so engrossed with the forklift moving, making sounds and carrying pallets despite the smelly diesel smokes coming out from the exhaust pipe.

Whenever Jayden pays attention to the forklift, I will share with him that it is called a 'forklift' and the use of it. I am not sure how much he can understand yet, but for sure, whenever I told him it is a forklift he will repeat after me and say "bitbit".

At first, I thought he was somewhere near the pronunciation of the "i" sound(I know it is hard to accept.. hahaha).. Anyway, good try!!! But lately I found out that the forklift actually generates the sound 'bit bit' when it reverses, most of the time the forklift has to go front and back, hence we hear that a lot of times.

Now that I know why Jayden refers the forklift as 'bitbit'.. How interesting!! :o)

Unlucky Day

Today is sort of like a not so lucky day for Jayden.. A few unfavorable incidents took place and they hurt..

Incident 1: Earlier on, he was playing spinning.. I asked him to stop spinning and as expected, he didn't listen.. Finally, my obedient buddy stopped and came to sit beside me on the staircase.. However, he didn't aware that the dizziness refused to go away quickly.. He lost balance and alas! knock his head on the stair.. Poor guy..

Incident 2: While I was watching TV, I heard a loud noise of something dropped.. Worried that Jayden might have broken something, I went into the dry kitchen. He was playing the fridge again or looking for some chilled food/beverages. Whatever it is, I shooed him away and shut the fridge door. When he turned around, he accidentally flipped and dropped.. His right big toe seemed to have internal injury.. it's bleeding inside the nail.. Poor guy..

Incident 3: Around 5pm something, while we were playing at the yard, all the sudden Jayden wanted to ride on his bike. It has been a long long time since he last rode on it. Reason being it was broken, and I thought it was really dangerous to let him play hence have it kept away. I gave up to his persistence but I told him he could only push it around, not ride it. As I wasn't helping him to get onto it, he tried by himself. Numerous attempts failed but instead, the bike was broken into half. Upon seeing the incident, Jayden cried so hard as if he has lost something of his beloved. Well yes it is.. he lost his bike.. Poor guy..

There are also a few things that I found really funny that I can't stop laughing. I forgot some of them but here are the few I can remember. :o)

Funny 1: I tried to persuade him that we will get the bike fix soon but he just wouldn't stop crying. Finally I told him that we will get daddy to fix it when daddy is back. His cries turns to sobs. Then I told him, "alright, we will get daddy to buy you a a bigger superbike next time.." He completely stopped crying!! Is that a trick??? :S

Funny 2: After he stopped crying, we continue with our play. About 15min later, he ran to pathway where the bike was kept, looked at the bike and cried really loud, then completely stopped. The he walked out of the area and continue playing. Hmmm.. does it mean he wanna tell the bike that he misses it??? Hahaha..

Funny 3: Before going to bed late in the evening, we were watching Barney, playing and singing. During the play and dance, suddenly Jayden lost balance and the tumbled down and rolled upside down on the bed.. (I can't stop laughing.. muahahhahaa.. bad mommy!!!) Thank God it happened on the bed so it is not painful.. Well.. he wasn't crying though but again, looking at his facial expression and the way he tumbled over and rolled.. I just can't stop laughing.. Hahahaha.. I know I'm a bad mommy.. :P

Space

For the passed few weeks, I have been exposing Jayden to the space world. Mainly sharing with him the common things such as stars, moon, planets, sun, etc. However, Jayden only managed to pick up two words.. "star" and "ball"!!! Well, he picked up the word "ball" for a while back then, but hardly been using it though.

I guess he has more confident in talking now hence he blurted out the word 'ball' whenever I point to something that is round. The funny thing is.. whenever I point at a planet and asked him what is it.. his answer is always consistent.. he still thinks it's a ball!! He will point at a planet and says "ball" all the time...

I am very grateful that he is talking more now.. though most of the time it is still baby language.. I guess he works really hard on his vocab.. Hehehe..

5th tooth

Very soon.. I will not be counting Jayden's tooth I guess.. Hehehe.. About 3days ago, if I am not mistaken, Jayden has his 5th tooth cut through on his upper left gum. Finally, there is a tooth cutting without having to wait for the earlier tooth fully grown!! :P

Jayden has been drooling a lot again, I am very sure it is due to teething. He seems to be quite contented lately especially when he can bite some of the harder food with his two short-rows of mini teeth. :P

However, midnight wake-ups are too much troubles for mommy. 4days ago, Jayden was waking up like every hourly. Both mommy and Jayden suffered a lot. And due to that, mommy has been suffering from serious migraine for 4 freaking days and it is still not going away!!!! :(

I really hope the migraine will say bye bye to me asap!!!

4th tooth coming through..

I thought I saw the whitish stuff on his upper gum.. However, after numerous experiences with disappointment finding the tooth was not there, I wasn't as excited as before and have given up checking out Jayden's gum this time. "Perhaps it's just another illusion", I thought to myself.

I have totally forgotten about the whitish discovery last night. After coming back form BNI meeting, I am having the normal "ritual" with Jayden... that is... let's have fun!! :P

It is very obvious this time that I see a new baby tooth!! I am glad that finally the 4th is cutting through.. It's time for more good food!! :o)

Broken Laptop

Two hours ago, Jayden repeated the same mistake that he did yesterday: he pushed my laptop off the table causing my laptop hit hard on the floor and cracked.. some of the ports were broken too.. :o(

When he did that yesterday, I lightly scolded and beaten his hand, explained to him that it was wrong to do that. However, when he did that again just now, I was a bit angry partially because the laptop was cracked and broken, but mainly because he misbehaved for the same mistake. Anyway, knowing that young toddlers take time and probably a few experiment to differentiate right from wrong.. I didn't get really angry afterall. However, I felt that I really need to put this a little harder on him so he knew he had done something really bad.

Hence, I punished Jayden for his misbehaves.. I scolded him a bit harsher than yesterday, beaten his hand 4 times, and punished him to sit at the corner. When the cries ended, he tried to move away. I told him not to move and put him back to the corner, he cried again; warned him to stop crying and he cried harder. Again, when the cries stopped, he tried to move again, I repeat the same.. this went on and on for about 4-5times.

Jayden feels upset and hurt thus cries and sobs.. I could see he really tasted the punishment for wrongdoing. I was very sad inside me but I know I need to be very firm and teach him a lesson, once and for all... though I seriously pro-TLC instead of disciplining children with punishment. I would really love to go 100% disciplining with TLC and rewards instead of punishment.. I need to read more on this to upgrade more knowledge.

I am very heartbroken not because of the laptop but to punish and make it a harder for him than the normal TLC. Hope Jayden will have a good night sleep rather than waking up crying having nightmares that I am upset with him, though I told him I have forgiven him. :o(

Perfectionist Baby

Back then to when Jayden was just a few months, MIL has been sharing with us that when hubby was still a baby, he was a bit of a perfectionist.

The story was, when hubby was a little baby, whenever someone gave him any sort of food that was cut into partial, or half (i.e. half banana, partial biscuits, etc) he would accept with a smile, take the food with him, walk to the balcony and and throw the food off the balcony!!

I guess my little buddy inherites the perfectionist thingy from his daddy. Ever since Jayden has turned 1, most of the time, he will refuse any sort of food that is not complete, even if he does, he might put it aside and crush it, put into his mouth and spit it out, or do some other tricks on it.

There is exception, when he is hungry, he wouldn't mind. :P Perhaps this is a little better than his daddy??? Hehehe.. :P

Self Feeding Pictures

Some pix of my little buddy self-feeding.. :o)

Sitting Upright While Asleep

Something strange and funny happened two days ago. Hubby and I were busy watching the movie "She's out of my league" when Jayden was sleeping like a little lamb.. Suddenly I thought I saw a small figure.. like sitting..

To my terror, I asked hubby to pause the movie, trying hard to look clearly across the pitch dark room and alas! Jayden was sitting there.. Oh no.. did we wake him up??? Surprisingly, Jayden wasn't crying or anything, just sitting. I am confused hence leaned forward to look at his expression.. Hubby followed exactly what I did on the other side of Jayden.

His eyes are closed!! And he was scratching his head and neck while... Both of us burst into a quiet laugh.. It was so funny..

Then, Jayden lie back down to continue his sleep.. Looking at this little cutie pie, we couldn't stop laughing.. It was a torture to laugh without sound. And we laughed and giggled for about 3minutes I think. Hehe

What an experience.. :o)
