Self Feeding with Spoon

Finally, Jayden uses a spoon to feed himself than using his hands to pick up the food.. He is still clumsy and messy.. but it's a great progress. I would consider the progress is a good one as he manages to scoop up food and put them nicely into his mouth.. I am surprised that the spills are considerably low.. Keep up the good work Jay!! :o)

Cares for his toys

Jayden has been taking good care of his toys lately, namely his two bears Bluey and Chocolate. He would carry them, hug them, kiss them, make them kiss each other, lie them down to sleep, and sleep with them. TOday he has been doing something extra.. he dusted the baby powder on both of them.. he wanted to bring them to the bath too but of course I stopped him before anything else!!!

Just about two hours ago, Jayden has acquired a new skill.. I was replying a short email of about 3sentences long, it's considered a quick one. Once I was done, I turned my head around and found Jayden topless!!! Opps.. He took off his shirt by himself!!! Wow.. Never has he done that before now I am worried.. Hehehe..

Dance & Sing

For 3 days, Jayden has been addicted to dancing and singing.. As he gets his dance moves smoother and improved everyday, he gets more and more excited about this new hobby. Well, he sings with a lot of tones together with his dance moves which I found it amusing.. His dance moves are more of a new age combination of chacha, hip hop, breakdance and taichi!! Muahaha..

The bad news is Mommy didn't get a chance to record his performance all the time.. Must must must must remember to record it the next time. :P

Monsta in Toddlerhood

I read a lot about Terrible 2 and I guess my little 18-month is already there before he is 2!!!

Lately, my little handy man has gradually turned himself into a monsta-toddler!!! For weeks, he is no longer my gentle little baby. He has turned into a confident and persistent "my way or high-way" toddler!!! :S

There are times that he challenges things that I do.. he can completely understand what no is but he chooses to ignore me.. he will scream and cry when he doesn't get his way.. worst, he will even chuck a tantrum when I take him away, or just don't do things his way!!

Whenver I sit back.. relax.. and flash back how much he has learned and grown from the tiny little baby that made me suffered a hell labor.. My inner peace gives me a big smile and nevertheless, I feel good about how much my little handsome buddy has grown up!! :o)

I was watching 'The Back Up Plan' movie yesterday and there was this black guy described parenthood as: "awful awful awful awful awful.. and then there's this little thing happen like a miracle... all is worthwhile."

I can't agree more with him.. Parenthood.. all is worthwhile!! :o)

Hunting for Furniture

Today is a working Sunday for us!! We have been visiting so many furniture and mattress outlets to check and compare prices for furnitures and mattress for our new home!!! We've gotten all excited that the developer is going to release our keys really soon, hence started to source for some nice stuffs to fit and design our home sweet home.

We've visited a few outlets during the first half of the day, but is just wasn't really fruitful. After our lunch, we headed back home so Jayden could take his afternoon nap. Once he woke up, we went visiting again.. For some reasons, Daddy decided to follow the banner that we saw while driving to our initial destination.

Instead of sourcing for our heartfelt pieces and comparing prices, we ended up selecting almost all that we need and paid for downpayment!!! Actually the purchase has covered 80-90% of all the furnitures we needed, and well, more than what we initially thought we will buy after comparing.

Having said that, we are quite happy with what we bought and it is one step closer to our home sweet home. Guess the next we should be looking at are the electronics and electrical items. I really can't wait for the house key.. and definitely more excited about moving in!!! :o)

Mommy

Jayden said "mam...mi" for a few times yesterday and today.. Was it just accidental or he started to pick up the word "Mommy"!!??!! Mommy is just too excited about him calling Mommy" instead of just "mama" because it sounds similar to 'mahmah' (Grandma in Cantonese/Hokkien).
