One Two Buckle My Shoes

Since last week if I am not mistaken, Jayden has successfully learned to put on his shoes by himself.

Initially, he showed his skills putting on the Crocs shoes which is a pair of slip-on shoes.. It is relatively easy but I still think that's a good achievement.

Today, he amazed me by putting on his shoes which requires him to zap and un-zap! And he did it with perfect skills.. no hardship at all..

I still remember when I was teaching at SAL, none students at Jayden's age (now) can put on shoes by themselves... Even those bigger kids need teachers to help them... Hmmm...

I am a proud mom!! Hehe..

Finance 101: Money Matters

I don't quite know since when Jayden starts to learn about money but I guess it was some time about a month ago.

Whenever Jayden sees his all time favorite rides on a mall, he will pull Daddy to it and start searching his pocket for... COINS!!! Not sure if he knows the value of it but he definitely knows the use of it. :P

On the bright side, Mommy has taught Jayden well! Whenever Jayden sees me with coins, he will bring out his piggy bank and start saving the coins into his piggy bank. His piggy bank is much heavier now! :o)

Melted like an Ice Cream

Mommy was putting Jayden to bed last nite at 9pm thinking Jayden was too tired as he didn't have enough rest during the day. After 1 hour of playing inside the bedroom, Jayden was still very active and showed no intention to go to bed.

Left with no choices, Mommy try to trick him to sleep by telling him that Mommy needs to sleep now and why not Jayden put Mommy to bed instead. Mommy closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep.

After JJ put mommy to bed last nite (mommy pretended to be sleeping), he held both of mommy's hands to his chest, then gently kissed each of mommy's hands, laid them nicely on the bed, leaned over and kissed mommy on the cheek, and then went back to play his jammer and continued singing..

Soooooo SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!! Mommy was completely MELTED.... :o)

Waking up EARLY

Since we got Jayden his toy forklift, he started waking up earlier than before each day.. Every morning at 7am sharp!! Once he woke up, he will get his forklift and play.. His desire to play his forklift everyday is really strong!

Look like mommy is going to deprive for sleep really soon.. I wonder where he gets the energy and strength to play... His nap time didn't increase much but his total sleep time has decreased by at least 1.5hours!

As sufficient sleep is really important for the brain development for babies and young toddlers, I am kinda worried if Jayden has too little sleep.. Oh boy..

Let's go to the ZOO!!

I have been wanting to bring Jayden to the Zoo and due to daddy's busy schedule, we have been postponing it for many many times..

Anyway, we finally made it to the Zoo this very morning!! :o)

Jayden was very excited to see all his favorite wild animals namely elephants, giraffe, tigers and lions. However, it was a little disappointing as we did not have a good view at the lions and tigers, being these two are some of his "most" favorite animals.

Despite the little disappointment, Jayden has great experience with the elephants and deers, as he has very close interaction with them.. he even fed the deer with some vegetables!!

To our surprise, he thinks all the wild animals are very friendly, as he never scared of any of them. Some of the other visitors were amazed to see how friendly Jayden was towards the animals..

We're thankful that the tigers and lions are well "kept" in the Zoo so Jayden didn't have a chance to go near them.. :P

Sleep thru the Nite

For the passed one week, Jayden has been consistently sleeping 'quite' thru the nite..

The 'quite' means instead of waking up twice, he wakes up only once, and it is not at midnight anymore. It is at dawn, usually in between 4.30am-6am.

I am pleased and delighted as this is the start for me to get more restful nights. Thanks baby!! :o)

Molar Has Come

Ding Ding Ding Ding... Finally.. Molar has come!!! Well in fact, Jayden is having two molars cutting through, one on each top gum. I am surprised despite all his others are still taking their own sweet time..

No wonder he has been biting, chewing and putting things into his mouth HELL A LOT!! It is fair enough that the big guys are coming thru.. Hopefully this will be an easy experience for our little friend here. :o)

Elmo

Daddy has bought Jayden a new show.. It's SESAME STREET ABCs with Elmo!!!!

I was kinda skeptical whether Jayden will like it because he has turned down a lot of other shows that I tried to introduce to him prior to this.

The good news is.. HE LOVES IT!!! Now, he will alternate watching Barney and Sesame Street.. The bad news is.. two shows in a day!!! I hope this is not the start of too much TV time.. :P

Recently, Jayden likes to name his favorite Barney and friends. I guess only mommy can understand his meaning as his speech is still very limited..
